My “used to be best friend” is getting married and I’m one of her brides maids. The wedding has been in plan for a long time and for the past year we were planning to have her bachelorette party in Las Vegas in April. There has been some issues lately, the bride and another very close friend have been very rude and disrespectful towards my boyfriend, so I naturally I became less close with them for the last couple of month. We met yesterday for the first time in 2 month for brunch.

So yesterday, while having coffee, she says that by the way they all decided to move the bachelorette party from Las Vegas to South Beach, Florida (We live in Northern California), because no one ever been there and its apparently cheaper for 2 of her brides maids that already live on the east cost and that are still in school. Apparently every one already booked their flights except for me. I asked her why she didn’t tell me earlier, and she said that she was busy with wedding planning and thought that she would discuss it over brunch with me, but she wasn’t too busy to tell everyone else who is going… i looked up the flight last night and its already more expensive then everyone elses, plus i would have to take 2 days off work. I’m a little upset over the whole situation and I’m even considering not to go. Just say sorry, you didn’t ask me before you booked the hotel, I never agreed to it, and I just don’t think it is fare for me to pay more then you when your salary is close to double of mine…

Am I over reacting? Should I still suck it up and go? Or should I cancel?
