Walking from Comerica Park to the Hilton Hotel downtown Detroit?

I’m going to Warped Tour at the end of July. I don’t know what time we’d be walking back but, do you think it would be safe to walk in Detroit late at night? There will be two other girls with me. we’re looking into staying at the Hilton Garden but if you have other suggestions that would be great…we don’t want to spend a fortune on a hotel we wont be in for long.
